Your Responsibilities

You will be part of the IT infrastructure team, which designs, plans, builds and carefully looks
after the on-premises networks and systems that help our scientists do cutting-edge research.
You will be one of the go to specialists when it comes to Network Administration. As you will
work in a dynamic environment, developing and providing new services for our campus users will
also be a big part of this position.

Participate in design, deployment, maintenance and upgrade of the Institute‘s network infrastructure (switches, routers, wireless access points, fiber optic & copper circuits)
Configure, test and deploy new network/security equipment
Provide 2nd and 3rd-level network support
Identify, troubleshoot and solve software and hardware network outages
Implement and maintain scripts for the automated management of the network
Document configuration and network infrastructure setup

Your Profile

IT education, ideally with focus on network or equivalent work experience
Work experience with Cisco networking equipment (switches, routers)
Knowledge in the fields of network security, VPN and firewalls
Experience with scripting (e.g. shell, Perl, python) and automation tools (e.g. Ansible, terraform, puppet)
Basic understanding of IP routing protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF
Some experience with container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Excellent command of English (working language)
Eager to learn new technologies and the flexibility to develop in a changing environment
Reliable team-player with good communication skills
