INTERNSHIP “DEVELOPMENT OF AI MODELS TO IMPROVE PUBLIC TRANSPORT”

CENTER FOR DIGITAL SAFETY & SECURITY
- Under the guidance of our interdisciplinary team, you will work on the development of predictive models to improve public transport.
- In particular, you will work on feature engineering for multi-variate time series, model training, evaluation, and documentation.
- You will gain practical experience with one of the leading research companies in Austria.
- You support us in our research project and get exciting insights into our technological environment.
- You will have not only the opportunity to discuss your work experiences and results with experienced scientific peers, but also to connect with other bachelor’s, master’s or PhD students.
- Optional: You have the opportunity to work on your master thesis within a knowledgeable and supportive team

**Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner**:

- Ongoing master's studies in the field of informatics / data science / mathematics or similar at an Austrian University
- Ideally prior experience with machine learning libraries for time series forecasting
- Interest to adopt this topic for your Master thesis.
- High level of commitment and ability to work in an international team.
- Good language skills in German or English (written & spoken).

**What to expect**:

- **Duration of the internship**: 6 months
- **Start date**: ideally summer 2025 - However there is some flexibility concerning the start-date A remuneration of at least EUR 1.415,
- gross per month for 38.5 hours per week. In addition to our company benefits, we offer flexible working conditions and work experience in a highly innovative environment.
- As a research institution, we are familiar with the supervision and implementation of master theses. In case you are interested in writing your master’s thesis throughout this internship, please let us know. We are looking forward to supporting you accordingly.
