We are looking for an experienced accountant to join our team at Emarsys HQ Vienna and confidently drive accounting processes in the region, with the main focus on our German offices. In this role, you will be supporting our colleagues with exceptional management of all financial transactions and the accuracy of financial reporting - acting as a main point of contact for all accounting procedures for the designated offices.

**YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Full responsibility for managing day-to-day accounting for our offices in Germany (incl. payroll and leasing booking)
- Responsible for providing and generating reports and transactional details to stakeholders
- Determination of monthly sales tax and other tax returns
- Responsible for preparing VAT reporting for submission to tax authorities for Germany
- Independently working to achieve proper closing procedures for Month/ Quarter and Year Ends
- Supporting the Finance Director in preparing group reports
- Support for optimization processes in the ERP system Oracle

**YOUR PROFILE**
- 5+ years of experience in accounting in Austria or DACH region
- Working knowledge of UGB and/or HGB
- Completed relevant studies (HAK, FH, University, WIFI /BFI Bookkeeping Certification)
- Fluent in German and good command of English (written and spoken)
- Experience in using sophisticated bookkeeping software, experience with Oracle ERP is an asset
- Competent in Excel (Pivot tables, formulas and V-Lookups)
- Flexible and cooperative style of work, and understanding the need at times to work towards stringent reporting deadlines
- Demonstrable ability to take full ownership of accounting procedures
- Ability to work in international/distributed teams

- According to Austrian collective agreements the minimum salary for this role is EUR 33,992. However, we are offering a competitive market salary based on your skills and experience level.
