As a Medical Lead Austria (M/F/d), you will be responsible for development of the medical strategy in Austria, being a member of the Austria leadership team and a strategic partner to the commercial organization, providing the medical/scientific perspective to country plans and activities, and reporting to the Cluster Medical Head.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Driving medical plans, medical strategy and medical projects in alignment with the country’s business strategy and partnering with Viatris Commercial Organization as point of contact
- Managing the medical affairs team of medical advisors, leadership and coaching of medical team
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders (PV, Commercial, Sales, QA, etc.) and external stakeholders (attending academic congresses, managing publications) and partnering cross-functionally on product and TA activities on local, regional and global level
- Building up and extend partner relationships towards scientific and patient-related external stakeholders (KOLs, patient-associations, etc.)
- Medical assessment within regulatory submissions, clinical overviews and license variations as required; and follow-up of study activities, e.g. investigator-initiated research (IIR) studies

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

- Degree as Medical Doctor, Pharmacist or PhD or equivalent with relevant scientific background
- 7 years of experience in medical/scientific activities such as medical affairs, research, and clinical development
- People management experience and cross-functional leadership experience is an advantage
- Good communication and networking skills, ability to think strategically with strong drive for implementation and prioritization
- Native German and fluent English knowledge (written and oral)

The gross annual salary is at least € 70.000.
