Medical Affairs Scientist - Vaccines (M/F/d)

The Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) is the medical scientific companies’ Point of Contact for HCPs, medical societies, regulators, academia, and other external scientific stakeholders. The MAS is responsible for maintaining the highest scientific standards, independence, and compliance in every medical/scientific external activity, as well as respective internal processes.
- Build, develop and shape enduring peer-to-peer relationships with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and institutions, creating constructive cross-functional partnerships with external stakeholders in alignment with Pfizer’s medical strategy across our medicines’ lifecycle
- Leads medical to medical communications and external customers facing activities
- Scientific expert for HCPs, medical societies, academia, etc.
- Proactive reach-out and project initiation/collaboration, such as educational events for HCPs, Advisory Boards
- Plans and executes medical scientific strategic plans, as per their specialty role
- Aligns, collaborates, and contributes to different internal stakeholders
- Provides strategic medical input and contributes to company’s plans through actionable customers’ medical insights
- Scientific consultant for Brand Teams (cross-functional collaboration) providing expertise and support to disease area/therapeutic area
- Is a key contributor to ensure company’s medical compliance
- Early outreach / customer engagement
- Collaboration with clinical operations
- Represent Pfizer Vaccines in key regional forums and meetings
- Local data projects in collaboration with MAS Real World Evidence & Data Specialist
What you offer:
- University degree (human/veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical or life-science) preferably on postgraduate level
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferably in Vaccines Medical Affairs; experience in vaccine-related medical/scientific activities either research, clinical development, epidemiological, and immunization programs in the industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, adapted to audience, paired with excellent listening ability, asking the right questions, including virtual setting and interactions
- Good understanding of local health care system, access to products and local environment
- Knowledge of the relevant and applicable Codes of Practice, regulations, and guidelines across country to ensure an effective and overall compliance
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent German, very good command of English
- Comprehensive understanding of the Country health environment including its structure, policy, key members, and scientific societies as well as of the drug development process
- Knowledge/understanding of epidemiology, real world data generation and interpretation, medical statistics

The salary depends on education, training and expert knowledge as well as previous experience but will at least amount to EUR 55.000 gross p.a. on a fulltime base.
