Join the U.S. Embassy in Austria’s trade and commercial affairs office (U.S. Commercial Service) as a:
Commercial & Trade Assistant - Budget Analyst (M/F/d)

Working from the U.S Embassy in Vienna, the Commercial Service is responsible for strengthening Austrian-U.S. Bilateral relations. We are seeking a motivated individual to oversee the in-house operations of the Embassy’s commercial section, interact with the Austrian and U.S. business community, and manage budget and financial operations of the office.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Office Operations - Supports the activities of the commercial staff including scheduling, drafting correspondence and briefing documents, maintaining commercial databases and reporting activities for the office.

Budget Preparation - Prepares, forecasts, monitors and reports the budget for the office. Prepares invoices, collects payments and monitors customer relations related to payment issues. Manages activities for both Austria and Slovenia’s operations.

Office Technology Support - Works with local, regional and headquarters technology support offices to trouble shoot and monitor the proper functioning of the office’s IT and communications equipment and systems.

Procurement - Manages the procurement system for office supplies, services (such as catering, transportation, and professional services), equipment, and other office needs. Researches, selects and approves vendors according to Embassy procurement policies.

Logistics Management - Procurement of event-related items (catering, meeting space, etc.) procurement, coordinates travel arrangements, including logistics, vouchers and visitor access requests.

Property management - Accounts for monitors and disposes of office property.

**Qualifications and competencies required**:
Fluency in English and German

**Necessary education and work experience**:
**Either**: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

At least 2 years of experience in budget and administration in private business, government, or at an industry association.

Or: Completion of secondary school (e.g. Matura; HAK)

At least 6 years of experience in budget and administration in private business, government, or at an industry association.

**What we offer**:
A gross salary starting at EUR 43,853 /year (3,650 /month) depending on experience/education level, plus 2 bonus payments (13th and 14th months).
