**Marketing & Patient Advocacy Manager, Neuromuscular Diseases (f/m/d)**
**About the role**
The Marketing & Patient Advocacy Manager, NMD reports to the Commercial Director MS & NMD and plays a key role in the development and execution of the overall NMD strategy in SMA and potential upcoming new assets in ALS.
This position will be responsible for the development of marketing programs targeted towards physicians, patient advocacy groups/patient organizations and other allied health professionals with a major focus on digital marketing instruments leading to an omnichannel engagement and the preparation of all initiatives, which are carried out by sales or in digital channels.
She/he will cultivate alliances, partnership opportunities and advocacy in response to patient needs and communicate Biogen’s position on economic, clinical, and disease-related issues to relevant stakeholders. By developing awareness and communication strategies the incumbent will raise the company’s profile and will create, implement, and advance patient centricity strategy to foster a patient centric mindset enhance perception among PAGs and HCPs.
**What you´ll do**
- Own/lead all NMD marketing activities towards HCPs and Patient Advocacy Groups in close collaboration with local cross-functional team and regional marketing and drive optimal omnichannel orchestration.
- Development and implementation of NMD marketing strategy and coordination among all marketing activities in the country.
- Identification and development of strong relationships with critical patient advocacy stakeholders to advance common interests relating to Biogen’s NMD disease areas.
- Development and implementation of projects and education activities with patient advocacy groups and other related stakeholders to improve disease awareness and egagement with market access, pricing & reimbursement and Government Affairs.
- Development of a patient advocacy strategy, providing of strategic recommendations and tactical plans for patient advocacy implementation on local level including stakeholder maps and patient centricity engagement plans.
- Support a cross-functional way of working and mindset with all relevant functions to help removing barriers to facilitate healthcare provider decisions.
- Drive and ensure local adaption of global campaigns and corporate branding and enhance differentiation to competitors.
- Develop and drive comprehensive cross functional internal training plans to ensure excellent disease knowledge as well as competitive knowledge in SMA and ALS.
- Drive meaningful market research together with CMI to close knowledge gaps.
- Drive Customer Engagement Planning (CEP) and support the strategic account planning within the NMD Team to maximize business opportunities in SMA.
- Develop and drive launch readiness (externally and internally) for potential new asset in ALS together with Medical and Value & Access and in close collaboration with sales.
**Who you are**
You are an experienced marketeer in the rare disease or specialty care sector who knows how to stand out and how to influence critical stakeholders. You are an open minded and innovative teamplayer who´s constantly thriving to challenge the status quo and who´s focusing on the establishment of reliable and long-term relationships.
**Qualifications**:
- Academic gegree (science, economics) at min. Bachelor´s level, Master´s or MBA degree preferred.
- At least 6 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical business (incl. strong launch experiences) consisting of
- min. 5 years of pharmaceutical brand management experience in rare diseases areas or chronic disease areas and
- ideally at least 1 year experience as sales rep in a pharmaceutical company.
- First experience in working with patient organizations would be strongly preferred.
- Very good written, oral, presentation and communication skills.
- Openness to try new approaches and passion to support digitalization within the team and company.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, well-developed project management skills.
- Fluent communication in German and English (written/verbal).
Minimum annual gross salary of 65.000,00 €, depending on qualification and experience willingness to overpay
