Events & Community Intern

Based in the most liveable city in the world, at Plug and Play Vienna we are focusing on fostering innovation in two verticals - Travel and Hospitality, as well as Smart Cities.

**WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:
We’re a diverse team with backgrounds in innovation, finance, and entrepreneurship, and we’re growing rapidly to deliver on our mission. We’re seeking an **Events and Community Intern** to support our **Program Manager** to help nurture our innovation ecosystem and prepare hybrid events that people want to attend.

**HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE**:

- Event and Operations Management_
- Support Program Manager with planning and execution of major events, such as Selection Day or Expo Day
- Take lead of hosting ad-hoc workshops for partners or startups
- Prepare setups of virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Hopin, AhaSlides, etc), including writing descriptions, creating banners, ticketing, attendees’ reports, etc.
- Be the contact person for venue bookings, including conference rooms, co-working space, restaurants, and catering
- Be part of event content brainstorming sessions to think creatively about making our events remarkable
- Marketing_
- Prepare and update digital marketing documents, such as flyers, brochures, slide decks using Plug and Play design templates
- Be in touch with Plug and Play global teams, startups, corporations and other stakeholders to gather relevant information and pass it on to our communities
- Prepare monthly newsletters to cover Travel and Smart Cities verticals and position Plug and Play as an innovation expert by sharing industry trends, portfolio updates, and program startup and corporate news
- Program + Community Facing_
- Set up program elements to engage with startups, partners, and others
- Evaluate program strengths and bring in your ideas to increase ecosystem engagement
- Create pilot project success stories, ebooks and reports (e.g. batch analysis report, partnership report)

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor or Master Students in Event/Project Management, Marketing Communications, Business or related field
- Proficiency in Apple Keynote, Google Docs, MS Office (especially Excel and Word), PM tools
- Language knowledge - C1 German, C1 English
- Experience organizing in-person and virtual events is a plus
- Passion for entrepreneurship, event management & digital communications
- Self-starter who can work with mínimal supervision
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong punctuality and professionalism in the workplace
