Product Owner

**Valsoft Corporation on behalf of Aspire Software is currently looking for a Product Owner to join one of our subsidiary companies, ASE**

The Product Owner is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecyle. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support.

**What your day will look like**:

- Strategic planning and management of the entire product portfolio
- Owns roadmaps, program backlog
- Understand requirements provided by business and technical product management and find efficient and technically sound solutions that meet these requirements
- Ensure solutions are maintainable and suitable for production environments
- Managing the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Client Services, Marketing Support, and Technology teams to support product positioning and customer demand as part of new product development.
- Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product.
- Provide vision and direction to the software development team and stakeholders.
- Assist development teams with business and technical requirements
- Create feature descriptions to provide guidance to development team, contribute and approve product-related Business and Technical Requirements documents.
- Lead the execution of product release plans and set proper expectation for delivery of new functionalities to all stakeholders.
- Articulate complex or technical information in a clear, concise, and structured manner to suit the intended audience.
- Plan and execute product launches
- Lead weekly development and product council meetings to ensure effective communication
- Meet with key clients to understand product and operational needs.
- Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses
- Maintains product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Take over additional roles and responsibilities which may be reasonable under this role
- Work to deadlines and respond in a flexible way to the changing demands of the department and the business
- Analyze problems in detail to find the root cause and solve them
- Participate in the on-going quality improvement and documentation efforts

**About you**:

- 5+ years' product management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent business-related discipline required.
- Knowledge of the automotive market and industry an advantage.
- Prior experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology required.
- Proven ability to lead product development teams and deliver quality
- Great people skills paired with a high level of assertiveness.
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Excellent balance between technical/development understanding and business intelligence.
- Extensive exposure to in-house, nearshore, and offshore delivery models.
- Experience with Jira and/or Azure DevOps preferred.
- Commitment and a desire to solve issues in a quick and timely manner
- Great communication skills in English (written & spoken)
- Team player with high level motivational skills, the commitment, adopts a flexible and positive approach so that you can also manage virtual teams
- Must be an Austrian Citizen or a Permanent Citizen
- Highly self-motivated
- Flexible working hours
