Sales, Hospitality Overview
Hotels are at the forefront in a world where digital and physical experiences are coming together. Planet is excited about helping hotels help their staff and customers towards frictionless processes and experiences, with payment right in the middle.

Our Sales Hospitality team comprises of 150 employees globally and with the acquisition of Protel PMS, Hoist groups as well as Avantio, we are just getting started to provide a real feel good, connected experience at world's most well-known hotels.

Role Overview

This position, based in and responsible for customers in the alpine region of Austria, focuses on selling payment, hotel software, WLAN and Interactive TV solutions.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be the experienced, knowledgeable, and customer-focused professional who sells our products to new customers and creates true value-added offerings that drive growth. Your job is to build and leverage a network to find, convince and win new customers. You'll work with world-class marketing, product and support teams. Our product line is growing rapidly, and you will enjoy selling technical products to various stakeholders within an organization. Attracting new customers and increasing revenue are key performance indicators in our fast-growing company.
What you will do
Selling products and solutions to potential and existing customers. The focus is on new customer business.
Define goals and pipelines into actionable items and establish timeframes for their implementation.
You will ensure that business goals and objectives are the focus and that all sales activities are clearly reported, documented and shared internally.
Scouting for new business while building and maintaining productive partnerships that will bring you new business in the future.
You will develop a deep understanding of Planet's current and future features to find and implement new business opportunities.
Planning and implementing both remote and on-site product presentations.
Conducting contract negotiations at the decision maker level.
Preparing proposals, as well as following up on proposals through to contract close.
You ensure that all sales activities are clearly reported, documented and shared internally.
You report on pipeline status and performance according to internal standards to make your work visible to internal stakeholders.
Support and participate in industry related events, trade shows and marketing activities.
Who you are
Solid sales or business development experience in hotel software, payments, network/TV IT solutions, SaaS or e-commerce.
Proven track record of winning new customers.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Analytical and structured mindset as well as quick thinking skills
Self-motivation and initiative
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to empathize with others
Ability to work in a team
Verbal expression, communication skills and negotiation skills
Confident appearance and assertiveness
Self-reflection and critical thinking skills
Quality awareness
High level of fluency and rhetoric
Forward thinking
Business fluent in German and good written and spoken English (min. B1)
At least two years of professional experience
Class B driver's license
Experience in working with CRM systems and the MS Office package
Successfully completed education in the hotel industry or comparable education.
