This is an exceptional opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing company as the **Chief Compliance Officer**, with the responsibility of building, scaling, and leading a high-performing compliance team. As part of our three-person management team, you will have a direct impact on not just legal and compliance areas but also on strategic decisions across the company.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Lead and scale a high-performing compliance team, developing technology-driven, scalable compliance frameworks that align with our innovative FinTech solutions.
- Implement and oversee compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, especially related to the European Union, the European Banking Authority (EBA), and the Liechtenstein supervisory authorities.
- Establish and implement robust compliance and risk management frameworks for our e-money institution, in close collaboration with regulatory bodies.
- Design and automate compliance processes to streamline operations and enhance regulatory oversight.
- Ensure that products, services, processes, and tools are fully compliant with regulatory standards.
- Establish compliance and risk management frameworks for high-risk industries, with a particular focus on payments.
- Manage risk reporting processes to ensure high-quality, timely submissions aligned with corporate governance standards.
- Provide leadership and oversight on compliance-related projects, including the integration of compliance suites.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, handling all reporting, notifications, and official communications.
- Assess risk-relevant aspects in strategic planning and oversee risk-related processes.
- Review and ensure that all compliance policies, procedures, and controls are aligned with the latest regulatory and industry standards to protect the organization.
- Work closely with the CEO and other management team members to influence broader business strategies.
- Participate in the company's management body, contributing to strategic decisions with a hands-on and innovative approach.

**What We Are Looking For**
- Several years of professional experience in compliance, operational risk management, or regulatory risk within the FinTech, payments, or financial services sectors, with a focus on high-growth companies.
- AML certification and in-depth knowledge of EU legal requirements for the financial sector.
- Strong analytical skills with an assertive, solution-oriented mindset.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to balance regulatory obligations with business objectives.
- A natural leader with a passion for building teams, setting clear compliance standards, and driving operational excellence.
- Resilience, persistence, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Experience in managing complex projects, particularly within compliance integration.
- Experience in the FinTech or payments industry is highly preferred
- Experience with automating compliance processes and leveraging technology to enhance compliance frameworks.
