Financial Controller with Creative Freedom in An

Your Responsibilities
We are looking for a dedicated Financial Controller to join our growing team. Together with motivated team members, you will work on exciting controlling tasks and support each other to achieve the set goals. After a successful induction period, you will take on the role of a sparring partner for the Controlling Team Leader and the Finance Manager.
- Supporting the Controlling Team Leader and the Finance Manager with special analyses
- Carry out proactive cash management to ensure the financial stability of the institution and support the institution's objectives
- Responsibility for annual cost and performance accounting, including analysis and reporting
- Further development and preparation of budgets and forecasts, as well as the institution's long-term financial planning
- Collaboration in the quarterly or annual financial statements to ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements
- Collaboration in numerous (digitalization) projects of the finance department to continuously improve financial processes and systems
Your Profile
- Degree in economics with a focus on controlling/accounting or comparable training
- Several years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally in a company, research institute or auditing/tax consultancy firm
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and SAP CO as well as a high affinity for IT
- Very good knowledge of German and English (institute language English, communication with institute stakeholder in German)
- Independent, precise way of working and hands-on mentality
- Team spirit and excellent communication skills
