**Master Thesis - TU Graz**

We are currently looking for a Master Student from TU Graz to do a Master Thesis on "Visual Analysis of Airplane Docking Procedures".

Objective: We want to investigate vision-based machine learning approaches to analyze workflows at the airport apron, i.e. the area where airplanes are parked, unloaded and boarded. The goal is to evaluate and improve state-of-the-art approaches (e.g. object detection & tracking, trajectory prediction, or action recognition) under varying weather and illumination (day & night) conditions.

As a first step, you will conduct a feasibility study to identify strengths and limitations as well as the real-world applicability of selected approaches. Based on your findings, skills and interests we will then define realizable tasks to overcome some of the highlighted limitations. For example, improving detection accuracy where needed by integrating other sensor modalities (such as LiDAR or radar).

Qualifications:

- Student TU Graz - Basic knowledge in Computer Science
- Vision/Machine Learning.
- Programming skills (Python or C++)
