Sales Specialist Storage (f/m/d) This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office. **Sales Specialists **are product, services, and solution specialists that are responsible for leading pursuit in their assigned focus areas. Collaborates with and supports Account Managers and provides specialist expertise within the sales team. Drives proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, uses specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. May have named accounts allocated, cover a designated geography, or may be allocated to one high-potential, competitive attack account. As a **Sales Specialist for Storage** you will cover HPE’s storage product and solution portfolio. **Responsibilities**: - Creating and driving the storage sales pipeline in the assigned sales segment - Maintains knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position the company's products and services better. - Use specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities and expand and enhance existing opportunities to build the pipeline in and drive pursuit. - Provide support to Account managers and provide input regarding business development and solution expertise. - Work closely with the account team and HPE partners on opportunities. - Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with customers and partners, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within the assigned sales segment. - Directs or coordinates supporting sales activities, e.g. support from Presales. **Education and Experience**: - University diploma or Bachelor's degree in a technical or commercial field of study - Typically >= 2 years of sales experience - Demonstrated achievement of quota, diversity of business customers, and frequent customer interface. **Knowledge and Skills**: - Significant knowledge of storage products, solutions or service offerings as well as competitors offerings to be able to sell large solutions. - Hunting mentality to win new customers and market shares. - Solid understanding of digital transformation, the role of IT and how companies' solutions differently address specific industry challenges as well as their cross-segment capabilities. - Account planning and accurate account revenue forecasting skills. - Collaborates with management and sales teams in shared accounts to ensure seamless integration of specialist sales with other sales activities. - Maintain expertise in industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner/ISV solutions. - Communication, presentation and negotiation competencies on a high level. - Very good language skills in German and English. We are legally obliged to quote the KV minimum salary (related to KV Handel für Angestellte) for the position (€ 40.586; - gross annual salary with 38,5 h/w) - with the willingness to pay significantly more depending on individual experience and qualification plus an extensive benefits program.
