We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **media-lab assistant** to take full ownership of maintaining the daily operations of our wet lab. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing laboratory media, managing inventory, maintaining lab cleanliness, and supporting our researchers to ensure the seamless functioning of our lab environment.

**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE**
- A degree or diploma in biology, biotechnology, or a related field (or equivalent laboratory experience).
- Prior experience working in a laboratory environment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow protocols and procedures with precision.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Proficiency in English (German is a plus).
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and a passion for supporting scientific research.

**WHAT YOUR MAIN TASKS WILL BE**
- **Media preparation**: prepare and sterilize growth media, buffers, and other laboratory solutions according to standard protocols.
- **Laboratory maintenance**: ensure the cleanliness and organization of the wet lab, including routine cleaning, restocking supplies, and waste disposal.
- **Equipment management**: assist with the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of lab equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
- **Inventory control**: monitor and manage stock levels of consumables, reagents, and materials, and coordinate timely procurement.
- **Support for researchers**: provide assistance to scientists in experimental setups, including preparing necessary materials and maintaining accurate records.
- **Compliance and safety**: adhere to and enforce laboratory safety standards and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
