HME PROCESS SIMULATION
PHD POSSIBLE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work on an internationally funded project for the development and evaluation of simulation tools for

capturing effects in pharmaceutical hot melt extrusionDevelopment and testing of our in-house Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics software and 1D HME

software
- Running and evaluating experiments relevant for model validation and testing;
- Produce project reports and publish research results in reputed journals

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- A technical or natural scientific MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering,

Mathematics, Physics, Informatics or related fieldsKnowledge in Fluid Mechanics, Computational methods as well as in Heat and Mass Transfer
- Knowledge in Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics, C++ as well as in Python as an advantage
- Professional conduct and communication skills in dealing with international clients, partners and

colleagues
- Interest and experience in performing top-level and target-oriented research at the interface of basic
