You’ll collaborate with auditors during preparation and review of audit material, while also overviewing monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. You will be a key member of the Western Union International Bank (WUIB) Vienna Accounting function. You’ll support period close procedures and the preparation of local financial statements for defined WUIB operated jurisdictions. Also, you will closely work with the Leader Accounting Vienna and support the oversight function of the outsourced accounting processes in Vilnius, Lithuania. You will be a key contact for auditors and a back-up for WUIB’s regulatory reporting towards its several banking supervision authorities. In addition you will work on coordination of taxes.

For this role, we require you to have a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a similar field and have 3-5 years of experience in accounting. You’ll have strong communication skills and diplomacy as well as ability to work efficiently in a multicultural environment. You will have a good understanding of what impacts financial statements and understand how it links with accounting, tax, treasury, and other parts of business. We need you to have a blend of being analytically minded as well as results oriented. If you have the desire and ability to take a strong leadership role and can influence actions to create real change then this could be the perfect role. Fluency in English and German is also desirable. Previous experience with Lean methodology would be an advantage.
