Sportradar is the leading global provider of sports betting and sports entertainment products and services. Since 2001, we have occupied a unique position at the intersection of the sports, media and betting industries; providing sports federations, news media, consumer platforms and sports betting operators with a range of solutions to help grow their business.
The legal team is an internal service provider that supports Sportradar's fast growth by ensuring a solid and secure foundation. It includes several divisions to ensure integrity and trust are met and exceeded. These include among others:
- Corporate law
- Legal support sales
- Product Compliance and Licensing
- Data protection issues
- IP issues and infringements
Due to some exciting growth here at Sportradar, we are looking for a Legal Counsel Digital Advertising to act as an interface between the global advertising team, the sales teams and the legal department.
The focus of this role will be to ensure the development and maintenance of compliant digital advertising products and to create tailor-made contracts for their legally secure distribution and implementation.
THE CHALLENGE:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiation of contracts (in English and occasionally German) to be handled in close collaboration with the different operational teams of Sportradar, in particular:
- Advertising sales and advertising contracts related to the entire advertising value chain (more specifically around AdTech (DSP, SSP, user data, etc.);-
- Content tools/partnership agreements for the use of tools/technologies, including software license and SaaS agreements;-
- Technical contracts such as bandwidth deals, services agreements of any kind, license agreements, etc.-
- Monitoring of the compliance of Sportradar’s technologies and more generally of Sportradar’s Advertising activities with all applicable laws, including (together with the Privacy Team) any data-protection law, as well as betting and gambling advertising-related regulations that may impact the provision of Sportradar’s services.- Providing business-oriented legal advice and training to the operational teams from different departments.- Acting as a liaison between the advertising team and the other departments within the organization.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in media law and/or IP law ideally in in-house corporate role or in a law firm.- Knowledge of digital advertising inventories (e.g. DMP, DSP, SSP, all forms of programmatic advertising/trading, added services) related to IP-rights, licensing and sales related legal matters, data protection rights would be a significant plus.- Outstanding communication and writing skills in English. German written and verbal would be advantageous.- Experience working in a global environment would be considered a plus.- Ability to work independently with a pragmatic approach that is necessary for a fast-paced and quickly changing environment like digital advertising.
The minimum monthly salary for this position is according to Collective Bargaining Agreement, overpayment will be considered depending on qualifications and working experience.
