We are looking for a (Senior) Accountant (M/F/d) for the Head Office in Vienna. You will ensure the proper display and reporting of entries and numbers (through accounting activities such as bookings, reconciling and closing of accounts, audit, analysis and reporting, creation and reversion of accruals and provisions,...) to comply with all legal and fiscal requirements and Borealis guidelines. The post holder also provides further support to other departments regarding accounting integration for the local companies. You will act as a back-up for the Country Finance Manager.

**The typical tasks comprise of**:

- Preparation of closing and routine entries
- Balance sheet and other reconciliations on a regular basis
- Monthly closing tasks (postings, clearings, reconciliations, reporting to the group, etc.)
- Handling payroll and social security postings and reconciliations
- Preparations of the local financial statements (postings, disclosure notes, etc.)
- Assistance with internal and external reviews and audits
- Cooperation and assistance in finance-related group projects
- Communication with the country authorities
- Follow up on the legislation changes and introducing relevant changes to the organisation
- Preparation of financial, tax and statistical declarations.
