We are currently hiring for a **Senior Procurement Business Partner (m/w/d) **on a full-time/ basis in Linz.

In this exciting Procurement role, you will be working closely with the site leadership team in Linz to understand their must-wins and identify Procurement projects that will contribute to achieving the Small Molecules site's objectives as well as deliver to the Procurement KPI's.

Next to this, you will be taking on a category management role for primary packaging in the Austrian region. Supported by a regional Procurement team, you will look for and implement automation and digitalization projects to further uplift the Procurement role.

**Your tasks in detail**:

- Translate site requirements to procurement activities, challenging demand or specification where relevant.
- Ensure the correct balance of resources is utilized to deliver projects, and as such be able to deliver best-in-class procurement support to the organization in cooporation with global and local Procurement Category Management Teams.
- Direct interaction with the site management team and other functions at the sites (Quality/Engineering/Manufacturing/MS/Warehouse/Project Management/Finance/ Supplier Quality/Material Management)
- Manage compliance with procurement responsibilities in line with local business requirements, with a focus on meeting the agreed local business requirements through the successful provision of goods and services from external third parties.
- Supplier management activities: contract and pricing agreement negotiations, problem resolution, project management, and supplier performance reporting, continuity and reliability of supply and risk mitigation.
- Execution of spend categories and ad-hoc buying activities, including e-Sourcing and transactional contracting. Converting above country negotiated contracts into local contracts and supporting their roll-out.
- Interaction with Global Procurement to co-develop/leverage commodity/category strategies and initiatives
- Interaction with Global Procurement to develop/leverage savings opportunities, economy of scales, risk mitigation, collaboration with suppliers at the regional level.

**Your profile**:

- At least Bachelor´s degree
- 5+ years of relevant Sourcing & Procurement experience supporting cost reduction projects, value improvement programs, basic contracting, eSourcing and spot buying
- Understanding of some or the entire major spend categories and potential cost levers or market fundamentals.
- Experience or understanding in Category Management principles and frameworks and the development of sourcing strategies
- Proven Financial and Business Acumen (e.g. TCO, TEI, NPV & Cost Modeling)
- Business level English and German
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multi-project and multi-product manufacturing industry.
- Experience in providing customer support over multiple countries
- Experience or knowledge of offshore or shared service operating environments

**Desirable qualifications**:

- Post graduate business-related qualification
- Experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated ability in collating, organizing, analyzing and reporting complex financial data with solid grounding in basic procurement and financial processes and systems.
- Documented international strategic sourcing, category management and / or cost reduction experience
- Pharmaceutical Industry or Management Consulting experience
- Experience with enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle) and Procurement / procure-to-pay tools such as (e.g. Ariba, Emptoris, SAP, SMR) is preferred
- Any Professional Purchasing (e.g. CIPS) or Finance related licenses or certifications would be considered advantageous
