The new professor of Endowment Management will join the Institute for Finance, Banking and Insurance at WU’s Department of Finance, Accounting and Statistics. Members of the Institute are regularly affiliated with the Vienna Graduate School of Finance (VGSF), which offers a high level PhD program in Finance. Further, the Institute is responsible for the specialization field ‘Finance’ in WU’s undergraduate programs and intensively participating in the MSc programs ‘Quantitative Finance’ and ‘Finance and Accounting’.
- **Qualifications**
- A solid academic qualification (e.g. PhD, habilitation) in endowment management, long horizon asset management or a related area
- an outstanding international reputation for high quality scholarship in the area of endowment management, long horizon asset management commensurate with academic age, especially by having demonstrated the ability to publish in top-tier journals in the field
- excellent teaching qualifications at undergraduate and graduate levels as well as in executive education
- proven international experience
- a solid industry experience in asset management (preferably in institutions with a long planning horizon such as university endowments)
- a strong record in attracting research funding
- leadership qualities
- gender and diversity management skills

We also expect the new professor to take an active role in the university’s self-governance and third mission activities.
