Tasks
- Execute production protocols for the manufacturing of microbiology-based reagents and Ribbon’s DNA products according to established procedures and batch records.
- Prepare culture media, buffers, and reagents required for microbial cultivation and analysis.
- Perform aseptic techniques to handle microbial cultures and maintain sterile laboratory conditions.
- Inoculate and propagate cultures using appropriate growth media and incubation conditions.
- Conduct quality control tests and analyses to assess the performance and purity of manufactured products.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records, inventory logs, and quality control data.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and consumables and coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely replenishment.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to production processes and equipment.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and scalability.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, automation development and quality assurance to support platform development.
- Contribute to the validation and qualification of production processes and equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or related field. Or equivalent work experience/apprenticeship in these fields.
- Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the microbiology or life sciences industry, is a plus.
- Experience with microbiological techniques such as aseptic culturing, microbial enumeration, and identification.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and instrumentation used in microbiology production, such as autoclaves, incubators, and microbial culture analyzers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and protocols.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet production deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to communicate in English (written and spoken) at Level B2 or higher.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office: Excel/PowerPoint/Word.

**Additional plus could be**:

- Experience with electronic notebook entry and/or digital sample management systems.
- Experience with operating automated liquid handling and microbial colony picker robots
- Familiarity with quality control principles and techniques including microbial testing methods and documentation.
- Prior knowledge/experience working in a controlled environment (ISO/GMP)
- Fluent in German (written and spoken)

- By Austrian law, we are obliged to specify the minimum salary level by a collective agreement, which is Euro 35.500, - to EUR 37.800, - gross per year. However, we offer a higher salary adjusted to your experience and qualifications.
