**Objectives**:
In line with ongoing activities at Takeda IBSE, the goal of this subproject is to design, evaluate and establish strategies for scale-down model qualification at micro-scale and to create and optimize workflows that will facilitate the future qualification of micro-scale SSMs in Takeda process development laboratories.

In particular, this includes:

- Practical work in a (non-GMP) lab environment including the use of highly automated equipment
- Evaluate data derived from experimental activities and identify critical disparities between scales
- Collaborate in a diverse and highly interdisciplinary field of biotechnology, process engineering, mathematics, software development and IT
- Publication of up to 4 articles or posters in selected, peer-reviewed conferences and/or journals

This will be done in collaboration with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and academic researchers.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in Life Science or Process Engineering
- Practical experience in biochemical / biotechnology laboratory
- Affinity to explore the value of data and how to connect it to accelerate the product life cycle
- Insights into numerical programming with tools such as Matlab® and Python® is a plus
- Interest in interdisciplinary research
- Very good knowledge of English (German as a plus)
- You should be used to networked critical-analytical thinking, scientifically interested and able to work in a team.
