Phd Position: Optimizing a Microbial Fermentation

**That’s the project**:
Bioprocess development of a microbial fermentation process using digital and statistical tools. An existing process will be optimized. A design of experiment approach will be developed with a hybrid modelling software with the goal of developing digital twin of controlled stirred-tank bioreactors. Scale up of the process must also be implemented in close relation to industrial partner. Analytical methods must be developed and implemented. Media optimization approaches may also be performed.

- Master’s degree in Bioprocess engineering/Biotechnology from a reputable University
- Mathematical modelling and simulation
- Stirred-tank bioreactor operation
- Bioanalytics (ELISA, Western Blot,)
- Instrumental Analytics (HPLC, BLI, qPCR, digitalqPCR)

- The annual gross salary is **EUR 50.092**. This corresponds to a monthly net amount of EUR 2.476,94 (paid 14 times a year).
