**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct research and experiments to advance the development of new data storage technology
- Support team in running general tests to prove performance and reliability of optics, mechanics etc.
- Design and assemble test setups, implement changes and updates, etc
- Analyze and interpret research results, and make recommendations based on findings
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in applied physics, laser science, engineering, or a related field
- Experience conducting experiments, designing research methodologies, and analyzing data
- Experience in motion and scanning systems, programming and integration (ACS, Aerotech etc.)
- Experience with related software and programing languages (Linux, Python, C++ )
- Experience in optical design and implementation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Publication record in reputable journals or conference proceedings is a plus
