Our mission is to create an independent and environmentally friendly yachting experience which combines the silent cruising of a sailing boat with the luxury of a motor yacht. With the help of solar power, we are manifesting this mission day by day. We are the leading pioneers in an increasingly growing market. Therefore, we are seeking a skilled and ambitious **Chief Operating Officer (M/F/d)** for an immediate entry (fulltime).
The COO is a proven, highly experienced leader, responsible for managing the operations of the Silent Yachts Group.
Strategic responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our CEO to continuously improve the business plan of the SY Group
- Core responsibility is the implementation of the business plan
- Strategic planning and development of the SY Group (mid
- and long-term)
- Strategic efforts to continuously improve the global market positioning
- Leverage global brand awareness/perception in context with sustainability
- Monetization of the brand name
Operational responsibilities:
- Definition of action plans to indirectly achieve operational objectives
- Establish a professional corporate organization
- Organizing and promoting the day-to-day operations of the SY Group
- Optimizing the current company structure regarding internal processes between departments as well as within some selected departments
- Actively contribute to building an experienced and efficient management team in our shipyard in Fano, Italy
- Monitoring of our production facility in Fano, Italy and our operations in Port Adriano, Spain
- Manage the operative collaboration with our main subcontractor a shipyard in Istanbul, Turkey.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Chief Operating Officer or in a similar position in the yachting industry
- In-depth knowledge in developing an organization, managing a production etc.
- Demonstrated competence in strategic planning and business development
- Experience in finance is a plus
- Working knowledge of data analytics and performance/operational metrics
- Practical knowledge of IT/business infrastructure and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Bachelor's degree in business administration and / or technical engineering in a relevant field; Master's degree is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German, Italian or further language skills are a plus
- High willingness to travel
The COO reports directly to our CEO and founder Michael Köhler.
