As a Solution Engineer (pre-sales consultant) for the Power Platform, you are a pivotal member of the sales team, collaborating with Solution Specialists, Customer Success, partners, and engineering. Your mission is to empower organizations to transform the way they work by harnessing the full potential of artificial intelligence. You will guide customers through the evolving digital landscape, enabling them to unlock new opportunities, enhance productivity, and deliver exceptional employee and customer experiences. By integrating advanced AI capabilities across devices, cloud platforms, and business applications, you help organizations realize seamless, innovative, and secure solutions that drive sustained growth and success in the AI era. In this role, you will:
- Advance the sales pipeline by matching customer requirements witn technical capabilities, developing strategies, and inspiring technical decision makers.
- Design solutions and deliver industry-aligned demonstrations, focusing on technical proof requirements and infusing AI to automate business functions.
- Engage partners for co-sell and implementation, and collaborate with engineering on emerging technologies.
- Support the Solution Specialist in finalizing customer proposals and ensure adoption plans for Power Platform and Agents are in place.
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor, sharing technical and industry knowledge with peers.
Power Platform: AI and Agents with Copilot Studio The Microsoft Power Platform is a comprehensive suite for building low-code solutions, automating workflows, analyzing data, and creating virtual agents. Its integration with AI and Copilot Studio is a game-changer:
- Copilot Studio enables users to build, extend, and customize intelligent AI agents using a low-code interface enhanced with large language models and generative AI. These agents can automate and execute business processes across departments, integrate with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and connect to over 1,400 systems.
- AI and Agents: Solution Engineers leverage Copilot Studio to design and deploy custom agents that transform business operations, automate workflows, and deliver tailored AI-driven experiences. The platform integrates Azure AI services, Power Platform AI models, and the Microsoft 365 Agents SDK, providing a unified environment for building, managing, and scaling AI solutions.
- Business Impact: By utilizing Copilot Studio und the whole set or solution within the Power Platform, Solution Engineers help organizations drive innovation, optimize operations, and empower employees with intelligent automation and advanced analytics.
- Advance qualified pipeline revenue by demonstrating solution capabilities, addressing technical proof requirements, and securing customer solution design endorsement.
- Lead discovery sessions to identify customer business challenges and prioritize win themes with business value.
- Deliver compelling, customer-centric solution demonstrations with domain expertise, emphasizing storytelling and the "One Microsoft" approach.
- Collaborate with account teams to deliver envisioning sessions, hackathons, and workshops.
- Address solution architecture in partnership with Global Black Belts (GBBs) and partners.
- Ensure adoption plans for Power Platform and consumption models for Agents are established.
- Remove technical blockers to take a decision for the Microsoft low code and agents platform
Required Qualifications
- Several years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND several years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND several years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Full proficiency in English AND German (Level C2 or higher) with the ability to deliver End 2 End Workshops and Demos.
- Several years of technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery experience
- Experience in solution pre-sales for business applications, AI solutions, and/or SaaS-based technology
- Experience in orchestrating complex business application deals with large, virtual teams
- Expertise in solution pre-sales best practices: discovery, solution strategy, value-based selling, and competitive differentiation
- Several years of experience with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures, architecture, migrations, and technology management
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Power Platform, Power BI, Azure Architect, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture)
The salary for this role is starting from euros per annum depending on experience.
In line with our Flexible Work approach, for roles at Microsoft Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, we recommend spending at least two days per week in the office or at the customer site.
This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
