About the client

Our client is a very large multinational in the packaging/chemical manufacturing industry.

Essential Duties

  • Develop and execute global pricing strategies
    focused on standardization, value-based selling, customer segmentation, pricing excellence, and market benchmarking.
  • Lead targeted price campaigns
    (e.g., energy, paper) by aligning Sales, Commercial Excellence, and Operations on shared pricing priorities and guidelines.
  • Design advanced pricing models
    incorporating volume, order behavior, innovation components, and other value drivers in partnership with Sales, Commercial Excellence, and Operations.
  • Govern price adjustments
    through concession guidelines, approval frameworks, price trackers, and structured pricing review processes.
  • Monitor pricing performance
    by driving a culture of continuous price analysis supported by defined KPIs to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Manage pricing tools and analytics platforms
    to enhance decision-making, ensure consistent processes, and maintain system integrity.
  • Support business cases
    by developing pricing strategies for new value-add components, innovations, and trial-cost frameworks that enable informed commercial decisions.

Requirements

Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

Professional Experience:
Several years in strategic pricing, revenue management, or comparable analytical roles.

Analytical Expertise:
Strong skills in data analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, and interpreting market dynamics.

Technical Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with pricing software, BI platforms, and CRM systems.

Communication & Influence:
Excellent stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and a results-driven approach.

Language Skills:
Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

Location

Ideally Viena but will be valid anywhere in the EU space where client has a legal entity and is available for frequent travel.
