What We Are Looking for

At HedgeGo, we're looking for a talented, full-time team member who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and driven by the opportunity to tackle complex financial data challenges.

This position is based in Vienna, Austria, with a hybrid working model that includes a few days in the office and a few days working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine data-driven models using machine learning and statistical techniques to support and enhance hedging, risk management, and forecasting decisions.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis, including alternative datasets, to uncover insights and improve model accuracy.
  • Review academic and industry research to identify innovative approaches for modeling and data analytics.
  • Automate and optimize data processing workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Continuously monitor and back-test models across varying market conditions to maintain alignment with performance benchmarks.
  • Communicate findings and insights effectively with team members, ensuring alignment and transparency in decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Quantitative Finance, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science,
  • Analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficient in Python, good with AWS
  • Knowledge of Regression modeling, Neural Networks, and portfolio optimization.
  • Good knowledge of English (required) and German (is a plus)
  • A strong passion for data analysis, financial markets, and quantitative problem-solving, with a keen interest in uncovering insights that drive strategic decision-making
  • Precision, rigorousness, autonomy, proactivity, excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience in finance is a plus
