Under the direct supervision of the Regional Thematic Specialist (Humanitarian Response and Recovery), the Senior Regional Humanitarian Response and Recovery Associate will support the Regional Office (RO) Humanitarian Response and Recovery Unit. The Unit operates under the thematic guidance of the Department of Humanitarian Response and Recovery (DHRR) at IOM Headquarters (HQ), and provides technical expertise, policy advice, and resource mobilization support to Country Offices (COs) across the Region.
The incumbent will assist in monitoring and analyzing regional humanitarian and protection trends; supporting regional and multi-country project development; facilitating thematic capacity development; and contributing to the review and endorsement of project proposals related to DHRR's areas of work. The role will also ensure that humanitarian protection, accountability to affected populations, and the integration of cross-cutting issues (such as gender, age, disability, and inclusion) are reflected across regional initiatives and CO programming.
