In addition to providing a solid academic education, we also place a special emphasis on the personal development of students. We support students in developing curiosity and critical thinking, thereby creating a solid foundation for the professional challenges of the next generation.
Your workplace:Your future workplace will be at the Department for Slavonic Studies, which is one of the world's largest research and teaching institutions for Slavic languages, literatures and cultures. At the Department, the East, South and West Slavic languages and literatures are represented in teaching and research in a unique breadth (Full Slavonic Studies).
The vacant position in the field of language training for Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian includes a teaching obligation of nine semester hours per week. As a Senior lecturer, you independently lead courses at all levels provided for in the curricula (A1 to C1/C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The ongoing reception of the current state of science as well as didactic training during the lecture-free period are expected. In addition, the assumption of administrative activities, especially in the administration of teaching, is part of the task.
Your future tasks:You actively participate in teaching, research & administration, which means:
You will independently teach courses in the field of language teaching for Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian to the extent of the provisions of the collective agreement

You will take on administrative tasks, in particular in the administration of teaching and hold examinations (including module examinations and university entrance qualification examinations)- .
We expect you to keep up to date with the current state of science as well as to continue didactic training during the lecture-free period- .

Completed Master's/Diploma or Teacher Training Programme in Slavonic Studie

Several years of independent teaching at a post-secondary educational institution in the field of language training for Bosnian/Croatian/Serbia- n
Excellent knowledge of German as well as Bosnian/Croatian/Serbia- n
Knowledge of other (South) Slavic languages is desirabl- e
Didactic skills / experience in e-learnin- g
You are a team player with a high level of social/communicative competence- .
