Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed shift plans to ensure smooth operations, allocate tasks to team members, and adjust schedules as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Oversee the work of employees during the shift, providing guidance, support, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Continuously assess and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead the sorting process for last mile delivery, ensuring that parcels are accurately sorted according to delivery routes and schedules.
  • Ensure that all sorting activities are completed on time and that all packages are sorted correctly to prevent delivery errors.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise during the sorting process, such as delays, misrouted packages, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Uphold high standards of quality in all sorting and distribution activities, ensuring that company guidelines and customer expectations are met.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of sorting and distribution operations.: Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports on operational performance, issues, and improvements, and present findings to senior management.
  • Explore and implement innovative technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a similar position
  • Experience in a managerial position in logistics or operations management.
  • Knowledge of sorting and distribution processes.
  • Ability to manage a team and motivate employees.
  • Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and operational procedures.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work in a shift system.
  • Fluency in German and English.
