Head of IT Delivery
(Delivery & Project Manager) who will work side by side with the CTO and report directly to the CEO.

About the Role

This is a strategic and operational leadership role uniting delivery management, project ownership, and IT team leadership. You will coordinate DaoPay's software development, infrastructure, and AI initiatives, ensuring that every project is executed to the highest standards of security, compliance, and reliability. You will act as the delivery counterpart to the CTO, transforming architectural vision into operational results, while maintaining full accountability for timelines, resources, and execution quality under the CEO's direction.

Core Responsibilities

Delivery & Execution Management

• Lead the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of DaoPay's technology projects-from concept to production rollout
• Define delivery frameworks, KPIs, and governance structures ensuring predictability and control
• Oversee progress across all active initiatives; identify bottlenecks early and enforce corrective actions
• Maintain transparency and reporting directly to the CEO and senior management

Project Management & Coordination

• Translate strategic and regulatory requirements into structured project scopes and execution plans
• Manage planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and change control across multiple project streams
• Implement Agile or hybrid project methodologies adapted to DaoPay's fintech and telecom environment
• Ensure consistent documentation, QA, and audit-readiness in all deliveries

Software Development Leadership

• Work side by side with the CTO and senior engineers to align architectural design with operational delivery
• Apply strong hands-on software development knowledge to validate technical feasibility and design decisions
• Drive continuous improvement in development pipelines, code quality, and system reliability
• Ensure all software releases meet DaoPay's security, scalability, and compliance benchmarks

Outsourcing & Partner Management

• Coordinate outsourced engineering teams and technology partners as part of the integrated delivery structure
• Define and monitor clear SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics for external contributors
• Maintain tight control over compliance, data handling, and code ownership standards
• Build a reliable network of trusted partners to extend DaoPay's capacity without diluting quality or control

IT Team Leadership

• Lead DaoPay's internal IT, DevOps, and software engineering teams, promoting accountability and professional growth
• Structure tasks, evaluate performance, and ensure skill development through mentoring and documentation
• Build a collaborative engineering culture that combines efficiency, transparency, and technical excellence

Internal Outsourcing & Multi-Site Team Building

• Build and scale new IT delivery teams in additional European locations, developing the internal outsourcing model
• Identify, onboard, and integrate local engineering talent while ensuring full compliance with DaoPay's processes and standards
• Align nearshore teams under unified project governance, tools, and documentation
• Create a replicable framework for scaling development capacity without losing technical oversight or data control
• Manage the existing cooperations between Austria, Spain, Cyprus and future nearshore entities to optimize workload and delivery efficiency

Qualifications & Experience

• 8–10 years of experience in software delivery, project management, or engineering leadership, ideally within fintech, payments, or telecom
• Proven hands-on background in software development (e.g. backend APIs, distributed systems, secure platforms)
• Strong experience managing in-house and outsourced development teams
• Solid grasp of software lifecycle management, DevOps, CI/CD, and system reliability engineering
• Excellent understanding of compliance frameworks (PSD2, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English (German is an advantage)
• Willingness to travel frequently
