You know how to create the right platform for software teams – stable, scalable, secure. While your heart beats for OpenShift, you're also confident working across cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes ecosystems. Join us as Lead Platform Engineer (f/m/x) and help our clients modernize their delivery pipelines and infrastructure setups – in tailored, hands-on consulting projects across industries.

Your tasks

We're looking for a Lead Platform Engineer who thrives in consulting environments and enjoys shaping complex infrastructure landscapes. Each client brings something new – and you love the variety.
  • Tackle platform challenges with OpenShift and Kubernetes (on-prem, hybrid, or cloud-native)
  • Design and implement robust infrastructure with IaC (Terraform, Pulumi)
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar
  • Integrate with enterprise systems: API gateways, security layers, monitoring, SSO
  • Guide infrastructure decisions across clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP – or on-premise)
  • Actively shape SQUER culture and projects through technical leadership and open collaboration
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a mindset of quality, ownership, and innovation


Your qualifications
  • Strong expertise in platform architectures and OpenShift environments
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes-native patterns (operators, controllers, service meshes)
  • Experience in building and operating CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure layers
  • Programming skills in at least one relevant language (e.g. Golang, Python, TypeScript) is a big bonus
  • You bring solid consulting experience – and you love empowering teams instead of taking over
  • You value continuous learning and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others
  • Languages: Fluent in German and English
