We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer/Platform Administrator to join our team

Our Data Warehouse team is dedicated to developing and managing our data warehousing solution, as well as creating insightful reports and visualizations for business stakeholders across the organization.

Senior Data Engineer/Platform Administrator(m/f/d)Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Snowflake Platform: Administer and optimize Snowflake warehouses, roles, and databases to ensure performance, cost efficiency, and security.
- Automate Infrastructure: Use Terraform to provision, configure, and maintain Snowflake environments and supporting cloud infrastructure.
- Craft Efficient Data Pipelines: Design, implement, and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using SQL and Python
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with business stakeholders from Finance, Risk, Banking, Markets and Operations, understand their needs, and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Enable Continuous Delivery: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data platform components, ensuring safe and automated deployments.
- Optimize Performance and Cost: Monitor workloads, tune queries and warehouse configurations, and implement resource governance.
- Enforce Security and Compliance: Manage role-based access control, encryption, and audit policies to meet organizational standards.
- Document and Improve Processes: Maintain clear documentation, standards, and operational runbooks for ongoing platform improvement.
- Strong SQL and Python skills; experience building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines
- Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure and transformations
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP data services
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform administration
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar platforms
- Experience with Terraform and IaC principles
- Solid understanding of data governance and security
- Fluent in English; German a plus
In accordance with the collective agreement for bank employees and bankers, we guarantee remuneration that aligns with market standards and is tailored to your experience and qualifications. For this position, the yearly compensation starts at EUR 65,000. Additionally, we offer numerous benefits, including a job ticket, meal vouchers, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional development. The role is available in Vienna.
