OPERATIONS MANAGER

Onsite/Hybrid (Graz, Austria) | Full-time/Part-time

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organized and people-focused individual who will ensure that TACEO's internal operations, finance workflows, and people & culture processes continue to run smoothly and evolve as the company grows. What you'll be responsible for

People & Culture / Human Resources (HR)

• Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, contracts and offboarding.
• Conduct regular employee check-ins and support a positive, open feedback culture.
• Organize internal events, team-building activities, and company merchandise.
• Build and continuously improve HR and people-related processes and internal workflows.

Finance & Controlling

• Prepare invoices, manage payments, and maintain accurate financial documentation.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Prepare regular controlling reports for management and shareholders.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the external tax consultancy agency, ensuring smooth payroll, accounting, and compliance processes.

Operations & Administration

• Support with legal and administrative contract preparation across product development, HR, and funding.
• Ensure that company-wide workflows run reliably and continuously improve them where needed.
• Support internal communication and smooth day-to-day operations.

What's happening in your first 6 months

• Take ownership of day-to-day operations across HR, finance, and administration.
• Build trust with employees through regular check-ins and supportive communication.
• Become fully familiar with TACEO's financial cycles and contribute independently to budgeting, planning, and controlling.
• Lead internal event planning and support culture-related initiatives.
• Identify and implement 1–2 improvements in internal workflows, documentation, or tools.
• Ensure that office operations, internal communication, and organizational structures run smoothly and reliably.

Who we're looking for

• Have a university degree (law is a plus, but not required).

• Are structured, reliable, and able to balance multiple topics at once.

• Are hands-on, pragmatic, and not afraid to dive into new topics or tools.
• Enjoy working in a fast-moving, collaborative startup environment.
• Have excellent skills in written and spoken English.

Bonus points if you

• Have experience in HR, operations, office management, or finance-related roles.
• Have previously worked in a startup or fast-scaling organization.
• Bring interest in privacy tech, cryptography, or Web3 (not required but nice to have).
• Have proficiency in German at B2 level or higher.
