We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated MEP Design Manager for Data Centre Constructions (m/f/d) for our Data Center Business Unit in Vienna, Austria. Start asap.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Lead and manage the MEP design development process in collaboration with design consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholdersOversee the preparation and coordination of detailed MEP design packages, ensuring alignment with data centre requirements (including power density, cooling loads, redundancy, and scalability)Review and validate designs for compliance with local building codes, data centre standards (e.g., Uptime Institute Tier Certifications, ASHRAE), and client specificationsConduct value engineering exercises to optimize performance and cost without compromising design integrityCoordinate closely with architectural, structural, and civil design teams to ensure fully integrated building systemsMonitor MEP design progress against project timelines and identify/mitigate risks or delaysManage design change control, RFIs, and ensure design intent is maintained through constructionProvide technical leadership during construction, including responding to design queries, reviewing submittals/shop drawings and supporting commissioning activitiesEnsure sustainability and energy efficiency targets are met, working with relevant certification schemes (LEED, BREEAM, etc.)Interface with client representatives, attend project meetings, and prepare status reports Show your expertise
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; Master's preferredChartered Engineer or working towards (e.g., CEng, PE)Ideally at least 8–10 years of experience in MEP design, with multiple years in data centre projectsStrong understanding of critical infrastructure systems including power distribution, backup systems, HVAC, and fire protectionExperience with BIM, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCADExcellent project management, communication, and leadership skillsFamiliarity with international data centre standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute, etc.) Contact:
