Your role at Dynatrace

You will be part of a team working on the ecosystem for Workflow automations, within the Software Delivery solution. This is where we make sure that users can turn answers reliably into proper actions, whether it's about engineering, incidents, remediation, or simply being notified.

As a Front-end Engineer & Team Captain you'll take a dual role, combining hands-on engineering with team leadership.

  • Act as a role model by living and advocating for our Dynatrace values.
  • Care about collaboration, knowledge sharing, motivation, and performance within your team.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s with all your team members, living the feedback culture and hereby guiding and mentoring your team members along their career path.
  • Make sure the team is properly structured, organized, and aligned with the organization's goals and individual needs.
  • Work closely with your Manager as the primary interface for the team.
  • Support in hiring, by conducting technical interviews when needed.
  • Support your lead by providing information for performance reviews, compensation and promotions

As a Front-end Engineer, you...

  • Build, maintain, improve and deliver the features and components your team owns, throughout their lifecycle.
  • Apply your knowledge of front-end development.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, design principles, accessibility, performance and security standards.
  • Proactively participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders across Linz and Europe to solve problems and drive decisions.

We offer this role as a full-time position, but are happy to consider part-time options starting from 30 hours per week

What will help you succeed
  • Several years of experience in software development.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, preferably TypeScript & React.
  • Strong understanding of core Web APIs, HTML, and CSS.
  • Focus on quality, performance, and clean architecture; experience with Playwright and Jest is a big plus.
  • First experience and passion for leading and mentoring software engineers, guiding and supporting them through strong communication skills, empathy, and providing feedback.
  • Experience working in agile teams, with a solid understanding of agile principles and team dynamics.
  • Being able to express ideas and share concepts fluently in English.

Compensation and Rewards

We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is €65,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer ahigher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
