Position Summary: Looking for GCP Data Engineer to join their dynamic data and analytics team in Sydney. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support business intelligence, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. Mandatory Skills: • 6+ years of experience with Google Data Flow, Google Data Fusion, Google Data proc, Google Big query, Google Composer (Airflow) and operations on Google Cloud Storage, Alloy DB and Cloud SQL. • 6+ years of experience with Python with SQL in Google Cloud Technologies • Experienced in Google Cloud Functions and Google App Engine using Python. • 6+ years of experience in traditional data warehousing / ETL tools with Google Cloud • Experienced in Data Engineering with Data Bricks partnered by Data Bricks Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Continuous Delivery and/or Rapid Application Development environments Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop and manage scalable data pipelines using GCP services • Design and implement real-time and batch data processing workflows for analytics and reporting. • Build robust data architecture. • Work closely with customers to understand their data requirements, develop, and model data structure. • Manage the team technically to deliver high quality projects. • Work with various on-prem and cloud-based data platforms, technologies and services Plan and deliver secure, good practice data integration strategies and approaches Qualifications & Certifications (Optional): • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong expertise in GCP ecosystem. • Hands-on proficiency in SQL, Python, and data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow). • Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing concepts, and big data processing. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
