Tech Electrical EngineerPosition OverviewThe incumbent should be an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in High Voltage & Medium Voltage substations. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of proven track record in design and engineering of HV & MV substations and leading engineering teams.Requirements:Mandatory:Proven experience in HV & MV design, specifically within Australia.Familiarity with Australian standards (AS/NZS) and regulatory requirements. Preferred:Certifications for Engineers in Australia:National Engineer RegisterChartered EngineerMembership of Engineers AustraliaProfessional Engineer's certificate for Victoria and Queensland.Experience of working in Energy Storage particularly in Battery Energy Storage Systems.Primary Responsibility:AIS & GIS Sub-station design & engineering up to 400kV covering MV system as well.Auxiliary LVAC and LVDC System designPreparation of cable schedulePreparation of Single Line Diagram, Protection One line Diagram, Layout, earthing, lightning, lightning, cabling design calculations and drawingsPreparation of Cabling layoutsDesign review of all equipment drawings including control schematicsDesign review of CRP scheme and substation automation systemDesign review of PLCC and FOTE systemCT/PT sizing calculationGood knowledge of MS officeFamiliarity and application of Australian, American, British and European Codes/Standards.
