Position Overview The incumbent should be an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in High Voltage & Medium Voltage substations. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of proven track record in design and engineering of HV & MV substations and leading engineering teams. Requirements Mandatory: Proven experience in HV & MV design, specifically within Australia. Familiarity with Australian standards (AS/NZS) and regulatory requirements. Preferred: Certifications for Engineers in Australia: National Engineer Register Chartered Engineer Membership of Engineers Australia Professional Engineer's certificate for Victoria and Queensland. Experience of working in Energy Storage particularly in Battery Energy Storage Systems. Primary Responsibilities AIS & GIS Sub-station design & engineering up to 400kV covering MV system as well. Auxiliary LVAC and LVDC System design Preparation of cable schedule Preparation of Single Line Diagram, Protection One line Diagram, Layout, earthing, lightning, cabling design calculations and drawings Preparation of Cabling layouts Design review of all equipment drawings including control schematics Design review of CRP scheme and substation automation system Design review of PLCC and FOTE system Good knowledge of MS office Familiarity and application of Australian, American, British and European Codes/Standards. Your Profile Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering – Preferable. In-depth exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is an added advantage. Other Requirements & Expectations Good communication skills in English Strong interpersonal skills Good teamwork ability. Self-disciplined and demonstrated capability to work in multiple projects as a team member/Project Manager Good organizing abilities and good in prioritizing tasks and co-ordination Special Attributes Ability to function in teams spread across different geographies.
