Wood is recruiting SMP Supervisors (Offshore) to join our Operations business supporting one of our key client partners on a long-term brownfield Oil & Gas EPCM Contract. With a growing pipeline of offshore work in maintenance, operations and engineering, this is an opportunity to start immediately on an even time 3:3 FIFO roster, working 7 days with 12-hour shifts (day or night). Point of hire is Perth, WA. Transforming the World.Wood's "Operations" APAC West business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, optimisation, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Southeast Asia.Responsibilities Reporting to the Offshore Superintendent, your key focus will be to ensuring safe and efficient execution of Structural, Mechanical and Piping activities in a fast-paced, high-compliance offshore environment. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the SMP team and its activities, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.In addition, your responsibilities will include:Coordinate SMP Activities: Plan, schedule, and supervise structural, mechanical, and piping tasks, ensuring compliance with project specifications, HSE standards, and quality proceduresTeam Leadership: Lead and support a diverse crew of tradespeople, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment. Project Delivery: Monitor progress, manage resources, and ensure timely completion of SMP scope, including piping installations for various fluids and gasesSafety & Quality Assurance: Uphold Wood's rigorous safety standards, conducting risk assessments and ensuring adherence to quality control processesStakeholder Engagement: Liaise with project managers, clients, and offshore teams to align on objectives and resolve technical challengesDocumentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials, and compliance, contributing to project reporting and close-out documentationQUALIFICATIONSQualificationsWhat makes you remarkable?At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team. Expected:Safety Focus: Deep commitment to HSE principles, with experience in risk management and safety complianceQualifications: Relevant trade certification or engineering degree (e.g., Structural, Mechanical, or Piping). Offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, MSIC) is a requirementExperience: 5+ years in SMP coordination or supervision, with proven experience in offshore oil and gas or energy projects. Familiarity with large- and small-scale piping installations is essentialTechnical Skills: Strong knowledge of structural, mechanical, and piping systems, including installation, maintenance, and inspection processesLeadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive performance in high-pressure offshore environmentsCommunication: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholdersQualifications & Tickets:Mechanical Trade Cert (Cert III/Cert IV) BOSIET/T-BOSIET or FOET/T-FOET + CA-EBS - valid within 4 years MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights - valid within 2 years Flange Management Level 1 -3 - valid within 3 years Escape Chute - valid within 4 years (desirable) Desirable:What will set you apart will be proven offshore experience working in a similar role managing and leading the SMP team on FLNG or FPSO facilities.It takes an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds to unlock solutions to tomorrows most critical challenges.
