About the role We have an opportunity for a Service Coordinator to be part of our Criminal Records, Forensic Evidence & Technical Services Command. The Service Coordinator leads and directs a large dynamic service area responsible for the collection, integrity and release of information in accordance with policies, guidelines, and state and commonwealth legislation. The position is responsible for maintaining resources, training and systems to enable service delivery targets and goals are achieved within the business unit. Criminal Records is responsible for the collection, integrity and release of NSW Police Force, criminal record information to support law enforcement, the judicial system, internal and external stakeholders and national police checking. The Criminal Records business unit consists of two service areas the Operational Judicial Support Service & National Police Checking Service. This role has autonomy to make decisions regarding the coordination and allocation of resources and workloads to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the service area within the business unit. The role also makes recommendations regarding business improvements, reporting, issues, service delivery and business objectives in liaison with the Manager and Manager Services and Support. Target Question 1 As the Service Coordinator within Criminal Records, you’ll be responsible to lead and direct a large dynamic service area. Target Question 2 An essential requirement of the role is the ability to interpret and apply legislation, as well as to develop and implement related policies and procedures. Provide an example of a time when you were required to interpret policy, legislation, or procedures, and clearly communicate and implement the requirements within your team or organisation.
