Harper helps real estate and private credit professionals in APAC draft screening papers, committee materials, quarterly reporting, and financial models in 5-10 minutes, automatically formatted to their firm's exact standards. We’re a small, ambitious team combining deep deal‑making knowledge from leading institutions (J.P. Morgan, Barrenjoey, Cerberus Capital, Optiver) with best‑in‑class AI development. Our team brings expertise from global finance and technology, ensuring practical solutions tailored for today’s financial professionals. Role Description You’ll join us in building a sophisticated full‑stack application that combines: AI‑powered deal analysis using cutting‑edge LLMs (OpenAI GPT‑5, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and more) Advanced document parsing that extracts data from dense financial documents with high accuracy Finance‑specific API integrations connecting to industry feeds (EODHD, Crunchbase, Sophilab, and more) Automated PowerPoint/Word/Excel generation that exports directly to native formats with proper formatting Multi‑agent chat systems with research agents for deep underwriting and market context Modern web interfaces with React, TypeScript, and shadcn UI components Robust backend systems built with FastAPI and Python Enterprise‑grade Azure infrastructure with ISO 27001 compliance and single‑tenancy architecture This isn’t just another CRUD app. You’ll work on complex problems involving document parsing, AI orchestration, Office document generation, financial data integration, and multi‑agent systems that help investment professionals screen more deals, produce asset updates faster, and create consistent, high‑quality materials. Qualifications Enthusiasm for learning and growing as an engineer Experience with or eagerness to use AI coding tools Visual design sensibility and attention to UI/UX details Interest in working with AI products and understanding how they work Availability to start February 1st (or sooner) and work in‑person (with flexible workspace arrangements) Nice to Have Experience with React, FastAPI, or similar modern frameworks Interest in real estate, private credit, or investment management Understanding of financial documents, deal structures, or investment workflows Previous startup or small team experience Enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and building products from the ground up Personality Collaborative and personable.
