Chef - Wine Bar (Casual Hours)

About the role We're looking for a Casual Chef to join our tight knit team. You'll work Tuesday to Saturday (3 pm – 10 pm), helping deliver the dishes that keep guests coming back for more. Our kitchen is small but mighty : we make the most of local produce, including herbs and vegetables grown in our own garden courtyard. The focus is on seasonal small plates with a Mediterranean soul. What you’ll do Prep and cook seasonal small plates in a small open kitchen. You'll need to be organized and creative to coax big flavours out of a small space. Collaborate on menu development Vinotto's menu evolves with the seasons; you'll have input into specials and new dishes. Work closely with the bar team Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in a compact, visible kitchen. Provide warm, genuine hospitality that makes our guests feel like locals. About you Demonstrated experience in a busy restaurant or wine bar kitchen; comfort working in confined, open kitchen environments. Minimum of 1-2 years of restaurant or wine bar kitchen experience is required. Passion for Italian / Mediterranean flavours and small plate service. Ability to work evenings on days from Tuesday through Saturday (3 pm – 10 pm). Creative, flexible and committed to using fresh, seasonal produce. Team oriented with strong communication skills and an understanding of how food complements wine and beverages. Valid Australian work visa is required for this position.
