Found in 1998 in the heart of Sydney, Australia, MindChamps International Preschool & Early Learning ("MindChamps") is a pathbreaking Preschool and early childhood education with 86 centres operating globally in Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Myanmar. We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to join our close-knit and supportive team in Warriewood, NSW . This is a permanent part-time position 5 days a week, fixed Monday to Friday (non‑negotiable). The hours are slightly flexible, you will be doing 4‑5 hours a day from 9AM - 2PM (school friendly hours). Ideal for parents looking for a convenient part time gig during school hours. Responsibilities Basic food preparation, assist in preparing and cooking all meals and snacks daily as required for the service in consultation with the approved menu. Ensure all meals and snacks are ready by the time specified by the classroom routines. Ensure all food preparation tasks that you are assigned are carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard and within food hygiene and dietary guidelines. Clean and maintain the kitchen including bench tops, equipment, appliances and utensils. Assist with the weekly stock‑taking and ordering. Comply with all relevant legislation, early childhood regulations and all policies, procedures and work guidelines. Qualifications Previous experience as a kitchen hand and working within a childcare setting (desirable but not mandatory). Relevant qualifications in Hospitality and/or Commercial Cookery (desirable but not mandatory). Time, task and priority management, and the ability to follow instructions to ensure the safe and efficient running of the kitchen. Ability to contribute as a team member to Workplace Health and Safety issues in the centre. Ability to maintain high‑quality standards of health and hygiene within the workplace. Valid Working with Children Check and Food Handling Certificate First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain). Valid Basic Food Handlers certificate. Why work for MindChamps?
