Oracle EPM Planning Consultant

Duration: Initial 6 Months + 6 Months Extensions (large project scope) The Role We are seeking a highly specialised Oracle EPM Cloud Consultant to lead the optimisation and management of the Planning & Budgeting (PBCS) environment for a major retail/hospitality group. Unlike standard ERP roles, this position sits directly at the intersection of IT and Finance . You will work closely with the CFO and FP&A team to streamline their budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling processes within the Oracle Cloud framework. Key Responsibilities System Management: Ownership of the Oracle EPM Cloud (Planning & Budgeting) environment. Configuration: Building and maintaining Planning forms, Business Rules, Calculation Scripts, and Member Formulas within PBCS / EPBCS . Finance Partnership: Translating complex financial requirements (OPEX, CAPEX, Workforce Planning) into technical solutions within Oracle. Reporting: Assisting the Finance team with Smart View reporting and ad-hoc analysis. Strategy: Advising the CIO on the roadmap for EPM, potentially expanding into future consolidation or global rollout phases. The Ideal Candidate Deep EPM Experience: Proven experience implementing or supporting Oracle EPM Cloud , specifically the Planning & Budgeting (PBCS/EPBCS) modules. Hyperion Heritage: Strong background in legacy Hyperion Planning is highly valued, provided you have transitioned to the Cloud. Finance Knowledge: A strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting cycles, and financial forecasting (CPA/CA background is a massive plus). Technical Skills: Proficiency in Calculation Manager, EPM Automate, and Essbase database structures. Communication: Ability to speak "Finance" with the CFO and "Tech" with the IT team.
