Liverpool City Council is seeking an inspirational leader, critical thinker and Early Childhood practitioner to join our team as a Nominated Supervisor. As a Nominated Supervisoryou will manage the daily operations of an Early Childhood Service to deliver quality educational curriculums and practices for young children and their families, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, legislative requirements and industry standards for Early Childhood Services. At present, Council owns and operates six Early Education and Care Centres and two Preschools. Our services exceed National Quality Standards and reflect the unique needs of the community. ABOUT YOU As a Nominated Supervisor you will provide visionary and operational leadership to a talented and passionate educating team to deliver innovative early childhood practice that allows children, families, and the community to flourish and thrive. You will have: A zest for leading teams to create curriculums, rituals, rhythms, and practices which allow children to learn through enquiry and investigation. A love for quality resources, loose parts, and materials, allowing you to guide educators to create inspiring provocations and exceptional learning environments. A passion for creating change both within the centre and within the local and global community. A desire to maintain a learning community within the service where there is a culture of reflective practice and ongoing learning to drive quality and continuous improvement. A lovely rapport with families to ensure that you are able to work in partnership to enhance outcomes for children. A Bachelor of Education, Birth - 5 years, NESA Teacher accreditation and have child protection training approved and recognised by ACECQA. You will have a thorough knowledge of the Child Safe Standards and its application within early education and care. A first aid certificate is also essential. Detailed knowledge of child development and contemporary theories/approaches to early childhood education and care and a thorough understanding of Early Childhood Regulations. You will have experience in how to lead the operations of a service to ensure alignment and compliance with industry standards and exemplary practice.
