Your Next Opportunity: We’re on the lookout for a Cook to join our team at The Beach House Restaurant & Bar. Ingenia’s Beach House Restaurant & Bar is in One Mile, offering a relaxed coastal vibe and a close-knit team environment perfect for hospitality professionals who love making every guest feel at home. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality meals using fresh, local ingredients. You’ll be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes to a high standard, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and supporting smooth service during busy periods. Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals to a high standard using fresh, local ingredients, while minimising waste and following menu guidelines. Order, receive, and rotate stock efficiently, ensuring quality control and compliance with food safety standards. Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area, including equipment, surfaces, and floors. Work respectfully and effectively with team members, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Follow all WHS and food safety procedures, including audits, chemical handling, and accurate record‑keeping. Qualifications and Experience Have previous food safety training and a solid understanding of HACCP principles. Have experience in food preparation and cooking, with strong communication and basic budgeting skills. Are a proactive, respectful team player who takes feedback well and contributes to a positive work environment. Manage time effectively, stay responsive under pressure, and maintain high standards in everything you do. Are comfortable with lifting, standing for long periods, and using kitchen equipment and cleaning products safely with PPE. Bring energy, ideas, and a genuine passion for making a difference.
