In this holistic and rewarding position, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to support the wellbeing, learning, cultural connection, and engagement of Aboriginal students. You'll play a vital role in fostering a safe, inclusive and nurturing school environment grounded in the Mission and Vision of Catholic education. Key responsibilities Model Catholic values, teachings, and foster a respectful, inclusive, and caring school culture Support students' spiritual growth and participation in the religious life of the school Assist in creating safe, inclusive classrooms through whole-school policies and positive behaviour strategies Ensure cultural safety while supporting Aboriginal students' wellbeing, attendance, engagement, and cultural identity Contribute to improved academic, social, emotional, and cultural outcomes for Aboriginal students Collaborate with teachers, the AEO, and support teams while engaging in ongoing professional learning About You Commitment to Catholic values and school ethos Passion for education and Aboriginal student support Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience working with children in educational settings Able to engage positively with students in a school and classroom Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply Previous experience in a similar role Current Working with Children Check Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent qualification (desired) Why Work with Us?
